These Terms and Conditions comprise the legally binding agreement between you and Teleconnect regarding the use of our services, website, and genetic testing products. Please read them carefully before finalizing your order.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, purchasing a kit, or submitting a biological sample, you unconditionally agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Description of Service
Teleconnect provides advanced genomic sequencing and data interpretation services. This includes, but is not limited to, DNA health predispositions, ancestry mapping, and nutritional optimization. Our reports are for educational, informational, and wellness purposes only.
3. Clinical Disclaimer
- Not Medical Advice: Teleconnect is not a medical practice and our reports do not constitute a clinical diagnosis. Our information is not intended to replace consultation with a qualified physician or genomic counselor.
- Nature of Results: Genetic testing provides probabilities and statistical risks, not certainties. Environmental factors and lifestyle choices also play a critical role in health outcomes.
- Do Not Alter Treatment: You should never alter any current medications or medical treatments based solely on a Teleconnect report without first consulting a licensed medical professional.
4. User Requirements
To use our services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age (or have explicit legal parental consent where allowed).
- Be resident in a jurisdiction where genetic testing services are legally permissible.
- Provide a sample that is your own DNA or DNA for which you have verified legal authority to submit (e.g., as a legal guardian).
- Ensure all information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
5. Sample Submission & Laboratory Processing
Upon receipt of your sample, our laboratories will attempt to extract and sequence your DNA. In rare cases, the quality of the sample may be insufficient for a successful analysis. In such events, Teleconnect may provide one secondary kit free of charge, subject to our discretion.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the Teleconnect website, including logos, text, graphics, and interpretative software, is the exclusive property of Teleconnect and protected by international copyright laws. You are granted a limited, personal license to view and download your individual report for private use.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Teleconnect shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or reliance on our genetic insights. We do not guarantee that our services will lead to specific health outcomes or prevent disease.
8. Payments and Refunds
Orders may be cancelled for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the kit has not been opened or the seal broken. Once a sample has been received by our lab, the service is considered in-progress and no refunds will be issued.
9. SMS and Telecommunications
By providing your phone number and checking the consent box, you agree to receive automated notifications. You acknowledge that message and data rates may apply. You may reply HELP for assistance or STOP to cancel. Teleconnect is not responsible for any delays or failures in message delivery caused by carrier issues.
10. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms shall be settled in the courts of Silicon Valley, CA.
